WOW! It is amazing how far we have come in less than a year. What started   as only a dream quickly became a reality and the first awards show for the   Christian Music Hall of Fame and Museum is now behind us and a part of   Christian music history. We are already looking to the future and an even   better event next year.

What a true pleasure and blessing it was to be in the company of such great   Christian and gospel singing and recording artists and legends such as   Acappella, Les Beasley, Chris Christian, The Chuck Wagon Gang, David L.   Cook, Jessy Dixon, Walter Hawkins, Lou Wills Hildreth, The Imperials, The   Jordanaires, David Meece, Lulu Roman, Candi Stanton, Russ Taff, Kirk   Talley, and others. Pat Boone and Steven Camp made special appearances   via telephone and video. There was also an appearance by ventriloquist   Terry Fator from America’s Got Talent who recently signed a multi year   contract with the Mirage Hotel Casino and Resort in Las Vegas. Terry also   performed at Larry Norman’s 60th birthday party.

How tremendously exciting it is to see God working in the lives of such young   performers as Caroline Keller, Jason Patchett and Donna Kay. We know we   will be hearing much more from them as they continue to spread His word   through their music.

Special video tributes were devoted to Larry Norman and Dottie Rambo as   they were posthumously inducted. Debbie Beard, sister of Terry Fator,   accepted the award for Larry Norman while Dottie’s grand-daughter, Destiny   Rambo McGuire accepted for the family and also   performed. Marc Eckel   performed his phenomenal splat experience, depicting the image of Christ   with the words “Dottie's Home” at the bottom.

This years show was co-hosted by our National Spokesman, David L Cook   and the legendary Lulu Roman and held at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church   in Allen, TX. We are deeply appreciative to Cottonwood Creek for providing   such fine facilities for our inaugural event.

Last but certainly not least, we would like to thank Daylon Ware with the   IAMAS Corporation for his unwavering friendship, guidance and support   during the past months. He has proven to be a true friend and mentor and we   look forward to many years of continued relations. We also ask that you to   keep Daylon in your prayers. He was injured just two days prior to our show in   a car accident while in Monaco helping organize the World Music Awards.   His vehicle was struck by a drunk driver and Daylon was air lifted to the   hospital. It is only by God's grace his car went in to the side of the mountain   and not over the edge. Although he sustained some broken ribs, broken   sternum and injuries to his right arm, his injuries are not life threatening and   he is expected to make a full recovery.
